Sharon Reese’s Hot Ham Buns

In The Firefly Jar, Hot Ham Buns are a staple at Tea and Tennyson. There is nothing better than a gooey-on-the-inside, crispy-on-the-outside hot sandwich full of flavor. Serve them for lunch, dinner or appetizers. Charlotte wouldn’t steer you wrong.

1/2 cup butter

4 Tablespoons mustard

4 teaspoons poppy seeds

4 Tablespoons finely chopped onions

6 hamburger buns (or any bread of your choice)

12 (or more) slices ham

6 slices swiss cheese

Cream first four ingredients and spread on both sides of buns. Place slices of ham and cheese on buns. *Wrap each sandwich in aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melted.
